Experiencing the rain, spending more time in the city and connecting with even more local experts allowed me to see Medellín through a different lens. I felt more connected to the city, more informed and even more excited about what Colombia has to offer.

We also talk about creating a “visa portfolio” and curating your life based on what different countries have to offer. One country does not have to meet every need. You may choose one destination for lifestyle, another for affordability, another for healthcare and another for business or investment opportunities. The goal is to build a life that works for YOU.

More Than a Livelihood . . . It’s About Love and Legacy ❤️

There are moments in life that remind us why we do what we do. Releasing the BEIP Mini Documentary “CHarriet” and presenting my Granddaughter, Zola, with this BEIP Legacy Award were two of THOSE moments.

One of my greatest hopes is that the next generation doesn’t just learn about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Harriet Tubman, Malcolm X, Shirley Chisholm, and the countless Black men and women who shaped history. Those stories matter tremendously.

But our children should also know OUR stories.

They should know the names of the people in their own families and communities who sacrificed, served, built, loved and left this world better than they found it. Legacy begins at home.
