As a travel advisor, I’m often asked: “Is the upgrade worth it?”

The answer depends on what I call “The 10-Hour Rule.” For our Slovenia trip, with over 14 hours in the air plus a layover, Business Class wasn’t just a splurge, it was a strategy.

I was able to sleep lie-flat, get work done with Wi-Fi, and arrive feeling fresh enough to start exploring right away. And oooh that Istanbul lounge was unreal!

I was invited to sail the new Celebrity Xcel for her Christening, and while I adore her sister ships, Xcel delivers a whole new kind of magic ✨ I was genuinely blown away.

Our favorite part of the ship was The Bazar — a totally new concept. It transforms each port you visit based on the destination so you feel fully immersed through music, color, sound, food and culture.

We stayed in The Retreat, and the suite experience was next level. The private pool deck, the service, the specialty restaurant… absolutely incredible 🌅✨
