Experience Louisiana like never before on our swamp tours through the Atchafalaya Basin—breathtaking views, giant cypress trees, and unforgettable wildlife. By using smaller boats, we provide an adventure deep into the magical swamps of the Atchafalaya Basin, where other swamp tours with their big boats can’t go. We are a family-owned and operated business. Tours are done by a father-and-son team,

who share a great love and appreciation of the swamps of the Atchafalaya Basin. They are both passionate about sharing their knowledge and love of the natural beauty of this watery wilderness with others. We will experience breathtaking views, gigantic cypress trees, local culture, and native wildlife. This tour is a great adventure for people of all ages.

We get this question all the time! Both tours take you deep into beautiful cypress forests with small groups and plenty of opportunities to experience Louisiana’s swamps. The biggest difference is whether you want a slower, quieter experience or to cover more water and see more of the Basin. Which would you choose? 👇🌿🐊

The Atchafalaya Basin is a place where life revolves around the water. As water levels rise and fall with the Mississippi River, many people use houseboats and camps because they’re better suited to the ever-changing swamp. Book a tour to see the basin for yourself!

Every time I see these old cypress stumps, I think about the giant trees that once stood here. They’re like scars left behind from a time when much of the Atchafalaya Basin’s ancient forest was logged away.

The Basin is still an incredible place, but it continues to face threats. That’s why the works so hard to protect it. The truth is, they can’t do it alone.

If you care about this special place we call home, consider learning more about their work and how you can help at basinkeeper.org. Even if you’re not in a position to donate or volunteer, something as simple as sharing their message can make a difference.

We can’t change what was lost, but we can help protect what’s left for future generations.

We called them gumballs as kids!

One of the best native plants for pollinators in Louisiana wetlands and it is called Buttonbush. 🐝 🦋

The next time you enjoy a plate of crawfish, take a moment to appreciate the spillway crawfishermen who make it possible. Long before the boil begins, they’re navigating rough conditions, running traps, and putting in countless hours on the water. It’s hard work, and it’s an important part of Louisiana’s culture and heritage.

If you spend any time with us on the swamp, you’re pretty much guaranteed to meet one of our regulars—our tall friend, the Great Blue Heron.

We like to think of him as part of the tour crew at this point—no introduction needed, just a quiet nod and “yep, there he is again.”

We know leeches may freak some people out, but they have played an important role for millions of years. They’re part of the food web in Louisiana, helping feed fish, turtles, birds, and other wildlife. Every creature has a purpose!
