It was great having Mark & Donna from Jersey out today!!

Got onto some lake trout at first light for a few hours & then switched it up to target some small mouths on TRDs & Rattle traps. They both caught first ever lake trout!! Plus Mark got into the top three within the Jameson Law Enforcement Lake Trout Challenge !! I do believe he’s in the second spot now. Kevin is still holding first!

Awesome run with these two retires, one from Army & one from the Marnie Corps. Vicki was 💯 the fish whisperer!!. Frank believed it was her fish songs that enabled her to out fish him in numbers and size. 🤷‍♂️ Great run with multiple fish for the camp ground smoker and numerous released to fight another day.

Bite was on 🔥 again this morning!!!

Awesome two days with these lads!! Chris was the one with numbers and size today.

They claimed the lake trout on Champlain are much larger than the ones they caught on their charter last on one of the finger lakes. Yup they’re coming back next year for two day!!

Great morning run with Matt, Chris and Frank!
On em on the first way point drop in seconds!!
Frank was having tough start on the port side with several fish conducting long line releases. Shortened up his bait and but the swing jig into action. Bam he then caught the biggest fishies of the trip. One pushing 35”. Great run and this Capt is looking forward to our 6 hours tomorrow on some small mouths..

Evening run with the Wilmington crew should be epic as we left dozens of hungry fish when we headed in.

Well 7 years later, from this father & son’s first run with the Irish a lot of changes have occurred… Birch is now a teenager, Dad’s goatee is longer and the Captain has more white hair and a different boat. Plus the lad didn’t need any assistance from his Dad holding onto the rod with a big lake trout on the line…

Needless to say this evenings run was a lot of fun!!! Double digit fish for everyone. Birch and I both lost a fish at the boat pushing 15lbs!!!!! No fish story, facts!!! Guessing his retired middle school teacher should be proud of this youngster who she gave fishing stories to in the middle school. He’s 💯 a real fisherman that knows how to reel in big ones!!!

Looking forward to the next run with these Peru Knight Hawks onboard!!!

Back at it at 0600 hrs tomorrow with a 6 hour am run and evening run at 1530 hrs..

Wowza what a small world and great trip!!!

Had Luke and Nancy out this morning for lake trout and small mouths.

Which they hammered I might say!!

But this couple fishes and hunts together just like Tricia and I do. Last charter they went on was with Captain Ernie on the Fish Doctor 10+ years ago. Capt Ernie is an ole friend of ours from Saranac Lake.

Nancy retires from teaching this fall and plans on fishing, hunting and creating potter for craft fairs…. Must be a retired teacher craft thing right Tricia….??

Come aboard as clients & leave as friends!!

Well Peter was on the wrong side of the boat this morning to place in the top 3 for the Jameson Challenge… Kenny and I had the big girls on the starboard side all morning!!

Yup Capt would’ve had the entire top three spots in the Jameson Chase with my 3 biggest fish this morning!! Had one pushing 14 lbs but didn’t get a photo because Pete’s phone wouldn’t fire up quicker and I wanted to get that tired fish back in the water. (Thinking Peter planned that one)

Fun run this morning with Peru crew Don, Dave and the grandson.

That lads struggled getting lake trout to the boat in those waves on the main lake. However, the young lad was able to land one to show grandpa & his uncle how it’s done.

We switched it up for smallies to get out of the wind. Everyone landed some smallies and Dave caught this nice one at lil over 4. Hopefully, the pros don’t find my guaranteed smallie pocket over the weekend…

Kevin and his boys annual fishing run was fun this morning !!! Ben was definitely 💯 the most productive fisherman of the group. He battled some nice fish on that Kastking Sharky III spinning reel this morning!!!

However, Kevin is now sitting in the the top slot of the Jameson Law Enforcement Lake Trout Contest with a 10.70 pounder.

There’s going to be a lake trout fish fry at their house tonight for sure!!!
