You see Mount Diablo from all over Pleasant Hill. But have you actually hiked it? 🏔️

Towering 3,849 feet over the East Bay, Mount Diablo has a trail for every kind of hiker:

🥾 Easy: explore the sandstone caves at Rock City and climb to Sentinel Rock for a big view with little effort
⛰️ Challenging: hike Mitchell Canyon to the summit, a true East Bay classic
🚗 No hike required: drive to the top and walk the short summit loop for Sierra to sea views

Fall is prime time to go. Cooler days, active wildlife, and if you're lucky, the wild tarantula migration in September and October.

Good to know: open 8 AM to sunset, parking is $6 to $10, and dogs are welcome in picnic areas but not on the trails. Bring plenty of water.

Looking for something to do this Labor Day Weekend? Pleasant Hill has you covered 🌙

Start Friday night at the Night Market in Chilpancingo Park, 5 to 9pm. Wander 50+ vendors, grab food and a drink from the b**r truck, and enjoy live Asian, Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander cultural performances all evening. The event and the parking are both free.
