Marion County is blessed with numerous Civil War sites that will be in the spotlight during the conflict sesquicentennial commemoration, as well as opportunities to step even further back in time to frontier days. Modern parks with state-of-the-art amenities are here, too, along with a wide variety of fairs, festivals and entertainment options.
