My husband totally understands what makes my heart song. Today he said, "Would you like to take a ride? I found a great place with lots of mullin." Man, I'm a luck girl.

After completing the A.T, Cheri and I have been slowly working our way back to Wisconsin. We went to Acadia National Park in Maine with our friends Scott and Joy Schultz. Then we checked out Salem Massachusetts. Currently, we are at Finger Lakes NY, wine country, putting the wino back in nomadic winos. Yesterday, we hiked Watkins Glen State Park , which is amazing.

I'd like to say thanks to my wife Cheri for all her support and encouragement on my Appalachian Trail through hike. She started the trail with me in mid-March, hiking over 350 miles, and left the trail in May. From there on, she supported my hike, I couldn't have made it all the way to Maine without her. She also helped dozens of other hikers along the way, a real trail angel. Also, thanks to Dustin, who met on trail and hiked with for 1,700 miles. Thanks, brother!
A big thanks to everyone for the supportive comments and likes for the past six months. If you donated to my charity C.O.P.S an extra big thanks.

Mission accomplished! I summited Mount Katahdin on Monday the 25th at 12:20. Over 2198.4 miles hiked. It was an awesome and amazing feeling when we finally reached the top. Saw several other hikers that we knew and many we didn't. Everyone was congratulating each other up and down the mountain. I can't describe how amazing it was. The best I can say is awesome, which doesn't come close to describing it. It's was so cool to see so many of the people we had the fortune to get to know of the past six months.

We finished the hundred mile wilderness on Friday. We had several rivers and streams to ford. We knew it was going to rain on our first day, but neither of our weather apps said anything about 2 1/2 inches of rain. Marking the small stream, we need to cross on Tuesday morning impossible to safely cross. We found a snowmobile trail that was flooded that connected to a logging road that got us around the stream. We knew that several hikes had stopped before the last big stream we had crossed were going to be stranded for a few days. We also reached the 2100 mile mark on Tuesday. Thursday, I ran into PUB, whom I hadn't seen since Tennessee. Friday afternoon, I had my first really good look at Mount Katahdin . It was very impressive and amazing to see, knowing now that the finish line was insight.
