Here are a few useful cleaning tips specifically for dishwashers:
1⃣ Clean the Filter Regularly: The filter traps food particles, and if it’s clogged, it can lead to bad odors and poor cleaning results. Remove and rinse the filter under warm water once a month.
2⃣ Run a Vinegar Cycle: Pour a cup of white vinegar into a dishwasher-safe bowl and place it on the top rack. Run a hot water cycle with no dishes. This helps to remove grease, grime, and odors.
3⃣ Baking Soda Freshener: After the vinegar cycle, sprinkle a cup of baking soda on the bottom of the dishwasher. Run a short hot water cycle to deodorize and brighten the interior.
4⃣ Clean the Seals and Door: Wipe down the rubber seals and the door edges where grime and food particles tend to accumulate using a cloth and mild cleaner.
5⃣ Check Spray Arms: Make sure the spray arms aren't clogged with food debris. Remove any blockages using a toothpick or small brush to ensure they rotate and spray water effectively.
These simple steps will keep your dishwasher running smoothly and ensure your dishes come out sparkling clean!
