The staff at Rubicon Trail Adventures had a great time at Cantina for the ‘Con on Saturday!

Eating tacos🌮, checking out all the vendor booths, mingling with old friends and making new friends👬👭…. All while raising funds to support the The Rubicon Trail!

Meet this month’s featured trail guide, Rich Zogaric! Rich has been an avid off roader since 1988 when he bought a brand-new Toyota 4x4 and immediately began throwing modification money at it. In 2012 Rich bought a new Jeep Rubicon and did the same thing, only this time he set it up for rock crawling! His Jeep features a 5.5" MetalCloak long arm kit and full skid plate kit, 37" Yokohama Tire Geolander X-AT® wrapped around the Raceline Wheels RT951 beadlocks, PSC Motorsports steering kit, WARN Industries winch, and many other cool modifications.

Dave & Marlys McKinney first met Rich on a snow-wheeling run in 2017 and they became fast friends. In 2022, they invited Rich to join their team as a trail guide. In addition to guiding on the trail, Rich contributes to photography, social media, and communication with vendors and customers. His customer service skills really help complete the total package for Rubicon Trail Adventures.

Rich is retired and lives in rural El Dorado County with his wife, Debbie. Aside from running the trail with Rubicon Trail Adventures, Rich has participated in Jeepers Jamboree twelve times! During the last three Jamborees, he and the RTA team acted as brand ambassadors for Horse Soldier Bourbon tastings to raise money for Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

When Rich is not on the trail, he can be found wake surfing on Folsom Lake or at any of El Dorado County’s wineries!

Rich and Chipper will be representing Rubicon Trail Adventures at the Cantina for the Con fundraiser this Saturday, September 12th, 2026, from 10:00am to 5:00pm. Stop by the booth, say “hi” and book your next Rubicon Trail Adventure!

Just met these awesome guys from New Hampshire who are getting ready to tackle the Rubicon for the very first time! 🇺🇸🛞

I was able to connect them with Ellen at Lightning Transport Inc., and they made arrangements to ship their rigs out here for us to receive when they come off the trail. Once they’re done, their rigs will be shipped safely back home to New Hampshire.

They won’t be running the trail with our group, but that doesn’t mean we can’t lend a hand. We’re always happy to help fellow off-roaders however we can!

Welcome to the Rubicon, guys! Have a great first run, and we’ll see you when you come off the trail! 🤙🇺🇸

This face says it all!!!

Started the trail with 9 rigs. Some on a daytrip, some on a 2-day trip and some on a 3-day trip. Friendships will grow, some will form and what a great group of people. We also had the pleasure of wishing Ron Cannon happy birthday out on the trail, thank you Jackie L for making the lemon bars.
