Hey All! We have changed our Chili Cook-Off to a Chill (& Chicken Noodle) Supper.
Saturday, October 24th. We will be serving from 5-8pm. $8 per person (6 & Under Free).
This is a fundraiser event with all proceeds to go toward course maintenance equipment (MOWERS!!!!).

UPDATE!!! This fall has been a big time struggle as the weather hasn't been cooperating much at all for us to get done with harvest in a timely manner which has caused us to postpone Card Farmer Fest until Spring of 2027. Thank you for understanding!!!

This might be one of Iowa’s most unusual scavenger hunts.

Pocahontas County has 11 giant, working kaleidoscopes scattered among its small towns and parks. Each one has its own design inspired by the community where it’s located.

You can visit several in an afternoon or turn it into a weekend challenge to find all 11. I’ve put together a suggested route, a complete location list and a few worthwhile stops to add along the way.

Thanks for the spotlight! We are proud of our Kaleidoscope Trail!

Why are giant kaleidoscopes showing up in parks across northwest Iowa?

It started with a local craftsman and a small downtown shop. Today, his legacy has grown into the Kaleidoscope Trail, a collection of 11 human-sized kaleidoscopes spread across Pocahontas County.

They’re colorful, interactive and completely free to visit. Best of all, finding them gives you a reason to explore several Iowa communities you might otherwise drive right past.
