My Lodgepole pine tree gives more space between the branches. I have an eclectic taste in ornaments so I never have a tree full of any particular style.

The alcove always seemed to disappear before I put the books up there. An antique wooden bowl from Japan is a nice contrast to all the straight lines of the books.

Sweet little "Mason" jars at Dollar Tree! A two pack for a buck...yes, please! I set them them in an old Chokola crate and they fit perfectly.

Placing the table to come out come from the corner allows for more walking space into the kitchen and opens up the appearance of the whole room. When we need to use the extra seating we pull it away from the corner. Your furniture doesn't have to line the walls. Mix things up a bit!

Thrift store scarves add a wonderful punch of color to a dim basement and is certainly a conversation starter when sewn together as drapes.

Over 6000 rolled pages and eleven hours of work later this display is in the church foyer. Maybe I should have used chicken wire with two inch squares instead of one inch. (Wink)

I took a yard sale find of an old blue ottoman that I spent a whopping 50 cents on and recovered it in this fun fabric. Total cost for my remake was under $5.

It doesn't take a lot to set a pretty banquet table. Money saving tip: look at the tablecloths you currently have and the sizes, be creative by mixing colors and sizes. For this set up I didn't have enough rectangular ones to do the job so I used round ones for the center of the long tables.
