Happy Aloha Friday! It is almost Halloween. When I was there during one Halloween I loved how people used pineapples to make Jac O lanterns. I also saw the most stunning sunsets that time of year.

Happy Aloha Friday! It is fall here, at my mainland home, and I am missing Kauai, the warm sun. and the sea. I put some playful pillows on the teak chairs for padded comfort. Have a great weekend everyone!

It is my last day here. It was too short. I have been spoiled by getting to stay here for a month. I saw some old friends, and I met some new ones that I am so excited about. After a fifteen-minute conversation, I had to switch seats, but this woman and I quickly connected. She brought her friend over, and we talked story for hours. Today, I am alone while I get ready to leave. I like my alone time, but I love company too. I was afraid I would run out of time for clean up, so I am here by myself. I am pleased that I bought two chairs with ottomans and a teak set consisting of tall bar-height chairs and a beautiful table. I want them to keep that rich brown color, so I oiled them and then put a couple of coats of polyurethane on them. I was sad to let my recliners go, but these are comfy, too. I bought a couple of things online, but I am finding that they don't always look like the photo. I gave away a new rug and am not sure about the other. I also didn't like the chair pads I got. I am pretty happy now but will consider painting a new color.There are lots of seating options on the lanai.

Aloha! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend! It has been a few years since I took a catamaran on the Nepali Coast, and it is just magic. If I could, I would go with every visit. We did the dinner cruise, where check-in is at 1:30 pm. Just gorgeous! I took several photos of the rainbow but my camera didn't pick it up in most of them. It is a heavenly experience.

Happy Aloha Friday! I have been having a great time. I was so happy that the major shopping happened early in the trip and I have been able to enjoy hiking and beach time with my friends. My friend is an artist too and we painted the view from the condo. Yesterday, we took two beautiful hikes in Waimea Canyon. I am always thrilled to find a new hike or beach; after 20 years here, there is still so much to see. I know that this island, in the middle of the Pacific, keeps me mentally and physically healthy. Have a great weekend!
