Thanks to all of the Polson Community who contributed to this mornings Independence Eve Fireworks Bucket Drive Fundraiser.

The yearly independence Eve fireworks are 100% funded by community donations.

Thanks to all of the Polson Chamber of Commerce Board Members, Ambassadors, Spouses, Children, Friends and Willow the dog who came out to support this event.

And a special thanks to our major donors and sponsors - Town Pump, 400 Horses and Kwataqnuk Casinos, handMade Montana, Montana Ace, SuperOne Foods, Polson Fairgrounds, Anderson Broadcasting and Living on Flathead Lake Magazine.

Please come out for the Big 250 Independence Eve July 3rd Fireworks with viewing from the river, the lake, Riverside Park and this year the Polson Fairgrounds Rodeo Grandstands.

And then join the Polson 4th of July Main Street Parade at noon the following day.

The Polson Chamber of Commerce is on HWY 93 in downtown Polson with an active boot drive TODAY from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. Come out and help support the efforts to fundraise for our annual Fireworks Show.

We’re looking for an Event Sponsor for the inaugural Polson Chamber Fireworks Scramble!

This first-ever 9-hole scramble will take place on the Olde Course at Polson Bay Golf Course, with proceeds supporting the annual Polson Fireworks Fund. 🐻 Successful Black Bear Release by CSKT Game Warden Noah Durheim 🐻

CSKT Game Warden Noah Durheim recently completed a successful black bear capture and relocation. As bears become more active across the Reservation, calls for bear-related incidents are beginning to increase, and our wardens are staying busy responding to conflicts.

You can help reduce bear encounters by taking a few simple precautions around your home and property:

• Secure household garbage in bear-resistant containers or buildings.
• Bring pet food indoors and avoid leaving it outside overnight.
• Remove other attractants such as bird seed, livestock feed, and outdoor freezers when possible.

Currently, the CSKT Tribal Game Warden Program has only four black bear traps available, and all four are currently deployed. Approximately 90% of our bear conflict calls are related to unsecured household garbage, making proper garbage storage the single most effective way to prevent bear problems.

If you would like more information on living safely with bears and reducing conflicts, please stop by the CSKT Polson Office to pick up educational brochures and resources.
