Memorial Day Weekend is here!!! This is a PSA for ALL of our beloved clients flying over to Europe during this time.
AAA projects 45 million Americans on the move a new all-time record, with 3.66 million flying. A significant share of them are crossing the Atlantic for early-summer trips to Paris, Rome, Amsterdam, Barcelona, and Frankfurt.
The problem: Europe's new Entry/Exit System (EES) went fully live on April 10, and the queues at major hubs are now running 3+ hours during peak waves.
Here’s what happens the first time you land in Europe under the EES:
You walk to passport control — same as always.
You’re directed to an EES kiosk (or a border officer with one).
The machine scans your passport.
It takes a photo of your face.
It scans your fingerprints (all four fingers, both hands, depending on the country).
You answer a few questions about the purpose of your trip, where you’re staying, and how you plan to pay your way.
The system logs your entry — no stamp, just a digital record.

Safe travels !!
