If you see a group of bikers in Pontiac this Friday, they’re riding for a great cause! 🏍️ The 10th Annual Gold Star 500 is a five-day ride covering more than 500 miles from Chester to Streamwood, Illinois. Riders will travel along historic Route 66 while honoring the lives and legacies of Illinois’ fallen service members.

The riders are scheduled to pass through Pontiac on Friday, September 25.

If you see them along the route, give them a wave and help show your support for the families and fallen heroes they are honoring. ❤️🤍💙

A busy weekend in the books in Pontiac! 🎉

Saturday night was a big success as The Eagle Performing Arts & Conference Center hosted a sold-out showing of Route 66: The Main Street of America! A Q&A with director John Paget followed the film, before guests headed over to Acres Inn for an after-hours gathering.

On Sunday, our lovely Rose took center stage as the Grand Marshal of the Threshermen’s Parade! She rode through town on the trolley and enjoyed her time in the limelight.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out for the film screening and helped make the weekend such a success!

Yesterday the new neon sign at Centennial Plaza was installed! While there’s still a little more work to be done before everything is complete, it’s exciting to see Centennial Plaza starting to come together. 🎉
