The Douro Wine Region (Douro Valley) is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site in Portugal, famous for its dramatic, centuries-old terraced vineyards and historic Port wine production. It was inscribed on the list in 2001 as an outstanding cultural landscape that beautifully demonstrates the evolution of human viticulture over 2,000 years.

This is one my favorite places ever! It is absolutely breathtaking!
