National Park Week is here, and there is no better place to celebrate than right here in Port Angeles, the basecamp to Olympic National Park! 🌲

Whatever you're doing these next couple of days, like hitting the trails, exploring the rainforest, or taking in the views from Hurricane Ridge - this week is the perfect reminder of just how special this place is! Do your part to keep our parks beautiful by leaving no trace, staying on the trail, and supporting organizations like Washington's National Park Fund WA’s National Park Fund!

Now on display! "Kinship: A Collaboration With Nature" at the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center incorporates living materials, ecological processes, and forms drawn from the natural world. Featuring contemporary artists working at the intersection of nature and creativity, this free exhibit is on view through September 13th. A truly one-of-a-kind experience worth seeing!

The Clallam County Fair is THIS weekend, August 20-23, starting TODAY! 🎡

Four days packed with live music, rodeo action, the Pro Logging Show, Draft Horse Show, a demo derby, carnival food, and so much more happening right here in Port Angeles!

(Pro tip: Skip the parking hassle and ride Clallam Transit's Route #26 straight to the fairgrounds; it's FREE! Catch it at any stop along the route or hop on at the Gateway Transit Center downtown. More information can be found on the Clallam Transit website!)

Take a cool stained glass class while in town this summer! Olympic Stained Glass has a few more classes throughout August that you can sign up for in person, via email, or by phone!

Here is our Stained Glass & Mosaic Class Schedule for August. 🎨🖌

STAINED GLASS CLASSES
$70

Our stained glass classes are a make and take style class where you learn how to foil, solder, patina, and polish and have a completed suncatcher to take home at the end of class. Upon sign up, you may choose between 4 different designs and the colors you would like your piece to have. Available designs include honeycomb, a flower, a turtle, or a butterfly.

All participants must be 16 years +. Anyone under 18 will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian that is also taking the class.

**Due to some of the materials we use in class, stained glass classes are not appropriate for anyone who is pregnant or nursing.**

*If you have health concerns, please consult your healthcare provider before participating in activities at our studio.

MOSAIC CLASSES
$75
*Same age requirements as listed above

In this class you may choose between a rectangular base or a circular base to create on and endless color options to create with. The design you create is up to you, but we're here to help with inspiration. After class your instructor will grout each piece and the finished project will be ready for pick-up at Olympic Stained Glass within a week.
