Here we observe the Paddle Princess in her natural habitat. 👑🛶
Notice how calmly she occupies the front of the vessel, seemingly unaware that her captain is doing all the actual work.
Gliding silently through the illuminated waters, she appears almost Venetian, straight out of Venice… a fairytale princess being chauffeured through the night.
A beautiful example of nature’s most fascinating phenomenon: the passenger who absolutely is not paddling. 😂

Corpus Christi. Get your gloves. October 3rd. Let's clean up the water we get to play in.

Our friends at Coastal Bend Bays & Estuaries Program are running a Padre Island cleanup and we are showing up with kayaks. GlowRow® is supplying out a limited number of daytime sit-on-top kayaks so volunteers can hit the trash the shoreline crew cannot reach.

Yes, from the water. No, not the glow ones. Save some mystery for after dark.

📍 End of the JFK Causeway, Padre Island

Kayaks are first come, first served, so register through the CBBEP post and get there early. Once the fleet is out, the fleet is out. Everyone else picks up the beach, which honestly also rules.

Grab a bag. Grab a friend. Grab a paddle if you get one. Grab a slice of Padre pride either way.

The water gives us everything. Least we can do is pick up after ourselves.

This year's cleanup will be launching from the Padre Island side of the JFK Causeway, focusing on the spoils between the ICW and the canals.
