🐬🎣 Dolphin-Friendly Fishing Starts With You! 🎣🐬

Did you know that fishing gear can be harmful to dolphins, sea turtles, and other protected wildlife around our piers?

As interactions between wildlife and anglers increase, it's more important than ever to fish responsibly and protect our marine environment. Here are a few simple tips you can follow to help:

✅ Never feed wild dolphins – It’s illegal and teaches them dangerous habits.
✅ Reel in your line if dolphins are nearby.
✅ Move locations if dolphins are showing interest in your bait or catch.
✅ Recycle fishing line and stash your trash—even small pieces can cause big problems.
✅ Use circle and corrodible hooks to reduce harm if gear is lost.
✅ Stay at least 50 yards away from dolphins at all times.
✅ Share leftover bait—don’t dump it into the water.
