Our Story
Life in Paradise was a small Vacation Property Management company started in 1985 in Port Aransas TX. In 1990 Martha and David Dore purchased the business that consisted of 13 vacation properties utilizing paper calendars to track bookings and most bookings created via the phone generated from newspaper ads.. Martha quickly understood that in order to grow the business she would have to create a booking process that was more efficient than having paper calendars labeled for each property. Life in Paradise is still a family owned business that has a culture built on the foundation Martha created years ago with one huge difference, TECHNOLOGY! We use many of the same technologies that the larger companies utilize to ensure that we continue to be a leader in the Property Management business in Port Aransas for years to come. Martha and David are still partners in the business along with Steve and Alma DeWitt. Steve, Martha’s son now assumes the leadership role for the company. It’s still very much a family business which includes Steve’s wife, Alma, and his son Matt along with a great staff ready to help find that perfect vacation property. Today Life In Paradise manages over 100 properties in both Port Aransas & North Padre. The company also has branch out to include renting Golf Carts for vacationers that visit Port A.
