Not every day is a sunny one, but they are all beautiful at the beach!

Now, we're not meteorologists, but there's some rain in the forecast this weekend which will be followed by mosquitoes, so come prepared!

What do we like to do on a rainy day? Karaoke at the Salty Dog or 361 bar, darts and pool at Texas Red's, Shorty's, the Gaff and many others, movies in your condo with a pizza or game night in our rec room, and everyone loves painting ceramics at Fire It!

Chances are we'll just add some water to our thirsty gardens and the gulls can eat some mosquitoes instead of whatever nonsense you all have been throwing at them! Ha!

Sunday's spirit animal right here! Water's great but the pace is extra slow as the ferry line is full of Sunday departures!

We heard that the jackpot was over 700k for the Billfish Pachanga tournament pot... wow!

Grab brunch at Tortuga's, breakfast at Island Cafe (and lots of other great spots), keep an eye on harborhero.app for the ferry status and think about coming back this fall!

Looking for something different to do?

Tomorrow the Billfish Pachanga is in Port Aransas!

This fishing tournament is for billfish- blue marlin, white marlin and sailfish. If you're in town tomorrow, go down to the marina for the 11am shotgun start, you definitely want to see this! Evening weigh ins at the marina will also be one of a kind!

Have kids that like to fish? The Piggy Perch competition is Saturday and is always fun. There are limited quantities of rods available if your kids don't have their own.

Hey! Happy Sunday!

Need a place to stay that your dog will love?

Look no further!

We know choosing your ideal beach rental can be an overwhelming crowd of "look at me" listings. Quit looking and get booking!

We are happy to have you bring your dogs (limit 2 per condo). Our pet fee is $35 in the summer and $25 in the winter. Plan to leash your pet at all times on the property and pick up pet waste (we have supplies!) and enjoy our ample green spaces (the sidewalks are hot these days!). We have every size from tiny chi-terriers to surfing hounds!

Do you know the way to San José (Island)?

If you want a chill, car free, crowd free beach day, look no further!

You can catch the jetty boat to San Jose Island from Fisherman's Wharf. Bring everything you need and plan to pack out your trash. No facilities on the Island, but peace, serenity and shells abound!

Best piece of heaven during peak season that you can get!

Happy Fourth! It is busy but so much fun!

Beach bike rides from Big Shell Bikes and we've got lots of lawn games (co****le anyone?) at the front desk, kites are flying, bubbles blowing and we've seen a couple of photographers posing guest groups having family reunions this weekend!

Love the guests that brought deck decorations and flags! It's looking festive around here!

Now- entertainment is underway at Roberts Point, with fireworks starting around 9.

You can see fireworks from Charlie's Pasture too, but plan for crowds and traffic all around our little downtown.

Coming to visit for the holiday weekend?

Eat- the smart idea is to cook here, or if your chef is on vacation, Miss K Bistro and Catering has casseroles and group meals you can buy ahead and heat in your condo. Seafood and Spaghetti Works has an online waitlist, or we get carry out from Kody's to keep things easy.
