Yesterday we had the honor of carrying out the final wishes of a wonderful woman from Oklahoma who loved Galveston and wanted to rest near the waters she loved.

As the wreath drifted peacefully across the water, flower petals trailing behind, it was a beautiful reminder of how meaningful and healing the sea can be.

Moments like these remind me this business has always been about more than fishing. It’s about peace, memories, and honoring life.

No customers today, so I took the office manager (the wife 😄) out fishing instead. Let’s just say… she was LUCKY! (I tell her that all the time lol)

She caught her limit of upper-slot redfish in less than an hour and less than a mile from our dock! Safe to say she’s officially got the redfish fever now! 🎣🔥

We had an absolute BLAST with J.R. Barnett and his wife Karen today!! They came down from north Texas to celebrate their anniversary and chose to come fish with us! What an honor!!

Right off the bat big rods were screaming and we hauled in a big ‘ol spinner shark, then some MONSTA stingray, then some shark that snapped 100lb braid!! They followed that up with some trout, gafftop and another MONSTA bull red and finished it all off with a nice slot red!

I know I say this a lot but I’m not in the fishing business, I’m in the memory making business. And memories and sore muscles were made today! Thank you guys and Happy Anniversary!!
