Matt Schimming is the taxidermist/owner of Mountable Memories and has over 8 years experience as a Taxidermist under Artistic Touch Taxidermy Studio in Oregon, Ohio. After leaving ArtisticTouch Taxidermy, Matt decided to open his own business after former clients began contacting him to do mounts on the side for them. Because of all of the requests, Matt has decided to open his own Taxidermy studio at his home in Port Clinton, Ohio.

To all my customers who take their deer to Bellevue meats for processing, make sure to go and pick up your heads that are going to be mounted! I took in a buck today that sat on the floor in a cardboard box rotting for the past two days without any notification from them. They are not refrigerating the heads and capes! I’m hopeful that I got it fleshed down and salted immediately after it came in but I had a ton of issues with hair slippage from the deer coming from there the last three years! The deer today smelled and had maggots inside its mouth already and it was dropped off Monday.

With the cost of everything rising and shipping being absolutely ridiculous, I will be raising the price of deer mounts slightly higher this season! The price for a standard shoulder mount will be $750 out the door and wall/base pedestal mounts are going to be $800 out the door! Sorry for any inconvenience and good luck this season!

These are this years prices, with shipping and surcharges, it’s becoming increasingly difficult not to increase prices. Hoping for another great year and wishing everyone a safe and successful hunting season!

These are the prices for the 2021-22 season. With material price going up 17-20% and shipping just outrageous I unfortunately had to raise my prices on most things just to make the same profits.
