Another ‘Travel Hacks’ segment in the books on ARC Southeast Texas! ✈️ 🚙 🚆 🌎
Here’s a recap of travel mistakes to avoid (And How to Fix Them!)
1. Not Bringing Proper Documentation
Nothing kills the vibe like missing or expired documents.
Fix: Double-check that your passport is valid (some countries require 6 months before expiration), verify visa requirements, and don’t forget any vaccination or entry forms. Flying domestically? Make sure you have a REAL ID or passport if it’s required—those rules are changing!
2. Overpacking
Dragging heavy bags through airports or cobblestone streets is not the move.
Fix: Pack versatile outfits, stick to essentials, and leave space for souvenirs!
3. Over-Scheduling Every Minute
Trying to see everything often leads to burnout and stress.
Fix: Plan a few must-dos but leave room for spontaneity and rest—you’re on vacation, after all!
4. Not Notifying Your Bank or Using the Wrong Card
Getting your card declined abroad is the worst.
Fix: Let your bank know you’re traveling and use a credit card with no foreign transaction fees.
Have you made any of these mistakes before? What travel tips do you swear by?
