A mom and her daughter just took off for 11 nights in Scandinavia - one celebrating graduating high school, the other celebrating having made it through the chaos of raising a teenager. They start in Amsterdam together (canals, stroopwafels, Anne Frank, the whole experience), next they're cruising through Norway, Sweden, and Denmark with everything handled.

They've been dreaming about this one for a while — and today it's finally happening!
Two travel buddies are on their way to Paris right now, kicking off an incredible two weeks that takes them through Disneyland Paris, Rome, and a 7-night Greek Isles cruise on the Odyssey of the Seas. Santorini, Mykonos, Kusadasi. All of it connected without a single stressful transfer.

It’s been a week since we stepped off the Margaritaville at Sea Islander, and I’ve had a lot of thoughts about the experience.

There were definitely things we loved… and a few things we didn’t. But honestly? That’s true of every cruise line out there. No cruise is one-size-fits-all.

What we did love:
🌴 The laid-back island vibe
🎶 Live music everywhere we turned
🍹 Unique cocktails and mocktails at every bar
🎹 The piano bar (our favorite spot!)
✨ Beautiful décor, clean spaces, and incredibly friendly staff
📚 Plenty of quiet little nooks to relax and unwind
⛳ Mini golf, pools, arcade, waterslides, co****le & more
🇺🇸 The Hero’s Tribute — such a special touch

One challenge for us was food options, especially for picky eaters and food allergies. BUT I have to give credit where credit is due: once we spoke with guest services, they truly went above and beyond to make sure Martin had dinners he could enjoy every night. That level of care matters.

And one of the biggest highlights? The people. Everyone we met was friendly, relaxed, and just looking to enjoy a fun little getaway. We didn’t encounter the “party chaos” some people assume comes with shorter cruises.

Overall, we really enjoyed our time onboard. Would I recommend it? Absolutely… for the right traveler.

If you are only spending half a day in Animal Kingdom, you are missing some pretty sweet details! Animal Kingdom is a park that needs to be conquered slowly & thoroughly. You just have to slow down and take the time to enjoy all the thought that went into this beautiful park.

The Tree of Life is hard to miss, it is the centerpiece of the park. Did you know that one of the over 300 animals carved into the tree is David Greybeard, the first chimpanzee that Jane Goodall studied.

When you stand back and align your line of sight, the shrine in the Anandapur village area perfectly matches the Everest Mountain.

When you are baking in the sun, sometimes you just want something light to snack on. Cue the African street corn at Harambe Fruit Market or {add another snack you like at Animal Kingdom}

Slow down, and say “Hakuna Matata!” under our pals Simba, Timon and Pumbaa, an ICONIC Animal Kingdom photo spot.

I’m currently sitting on hold with a cruise line (estimated wait time: 2 HOURS 😅) because my clients’ itineraries just changed… 4 days before sailing.

Instead of Bermuda, they’re now headed to Saint John, New Brunswick.
