OCTOBER ON THE CAPE! 🌴🍂

October might just be one of our favorite months on Cape San Blas. ☀️ Warm beach days, cooler evenings, gorgeous sunsets, fewer crowds AND some great fishing. 🎣

There’s plenty happening around the Cape and Port St. Joe this month too — live music, farmers markets, Park After Dark, the Harvest 5K and more!

🎣 Fishing? Redfish, trout, pompano, Spanish mackerel, red snapper and amberjack are all worth having on your radar.

🏖️ Beach day? Absolutely.

While Bayside Bites is a fav, we usually only grab a bite while at Scallop RePUBlic. Today we were starving, but not nearly as much as all the food we got-Just look at it! Simply scrumptious too!

This Megalodon tooth was found at Cape San Blas on the Forgotten Coast near Apalachicola. I've seen around 5 Megalodon teeth pulled from the cape over the years. Has anyone else found one there?

These weather conditions aggravate a drought-stressed fire environment that has already supported impactful wildfires in North Florida. The weather will contribute to an environment that will support a high risk of new, large wildfires.
