Late spring in Port Townsend just hits different ☀️

Start the morning with a coffee and pastry to go, then wander the waterfront while the town slowly wakes up. Browse a few local shops, take in the salty sea air, and enjoy the slower pace that makes Port Townsend feel so special.

In the afternoon, head out on the water for a whale watching adventure through the Salish Sea. Keep an eye out for whales, seals, sea lions, and marine birds while soaking in some of the most beautiful views in the Pacific Northwest.

As the sun starts to dip, settle in for waterfront cocktails before dinner, then end the evening around a fire with a glass of local wine and good conversation under the stars.

Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway or a weekend with friends, Port Townsend is the kind of place that invites you to slow down and savor the moment.

Step Into Port Townsend’s Victorian Past...

This year’s Port Townsend Victorian Heritage Festival is especially meaningful—marking the festival’s 30th anniversary and celebrating 175 years since the founding of Port Townsend.

Set against a backdrop of beautifully preserved 19th-century architecture, the festival brings history to life through music, performances, storytelling, and immersive experiences throughout town. Highlights include a unique Victorian fashion show featuring real 19th-century Port Townsend residents brought to life through meticulously recreated garments, guided tours of historic sites and neighborhoods, and hands-on experiences like tintype photography and traditional crafts.

As part of the celebration, don’t miss a special Heritage Week proclamation and community gathering to honor the many people and cultures that have shaped Port Townsend over the past 175 years.

Make it a full getaway by staying in one of Port Townsend’s many Victorian-era inns, historic hotels, or charming bed & breakfasts—where the experience continues long after the day’s events.

There’s a lot to explore all weekend long. See their website for a full list of activities, events, and to get your tickets.
