With recent headlines surrounding Mexico, We want to share the current U.S. Department of State Travel Advisory update.

At this time:
• Puerto Vallarta (Jalisco) is listed as Level 3: Reconsider Travel
• Los Cabos (Baja California Sur) and Cancún and the Riviera Maya (Quintana Roo) are listed as Level 2: Exercise Increased Caution

Transportation Security Administration - TSA recently announced that starting February 1, 2026, air travelers without a REAL ID or other acceptable form of ID will be charged a $45 fee to use an alternative identity verification system (TSA Confirm.ID) to establish identity at security checkpoints. If you don’t have a REAL ID, remember that a passport card or passport book are both accepted REAL ID alternatives for domestic travel and can help you avoid this fee. Just remember that the $30 passport card is not sufficient for international air travel- you'll need a passport book for that. Learn more at travel.state.gov/passportcard.

Ongoing federal changes have impacted air traffic and airport security - but life doesn't stop. For those who are traveling soon, here are a few tips to keep in your back pocket.

📲 Download the Airline App - everything you'll need to know about flight delays, rebooking, and more will be at your fingertips for easy access.
✈️ Check in for your flight on the app and check the flight status BEFORE heading to the airport.
❌ If your flight is canceled, the airline should rebook you on the next available flight. If you have their app, you can check other flight options.
📞 Airlines have an 800 number. If you're having issues in the app - call them.
💰 Is your flight canceled and you no longer want to make the trip? You are legally entitled to a refund from the airline.

Our Croatia journey continues, into the largest Adriatic peninsula, Istria. Home to some of the world's best olive oil. Vineyard draped hilltop towns and a little hint of Venetian flair.

The cherry on top of this fabulous trip was a stay in Plitvice National Park. We stayed in adorable cottages and enjoyed the park in beautiful sunshine. Perfect end to our trip!

We have made our way up the coastline to Split, where we will disembark tomorrow and head to Plitvice National Park for two nights.
