It is almost time to get the feeders ready! The Ruby Throated HUMMINGBIRDS continue to get closer. I would expect them to arrive in the next 2-3 weeks for SW Pennsylvania.

To make cheap and safe hummingbird nectar, Mix one part white granulated sugar with four parts water (e.g., 1/4 cup sugar to 1 cup water). I boil the mixture briefly to help dissolve sugar and prevent spoilage, but ALWAYS let it cool completely before filling feeders. Do not use red dye, honey, or organic sugar.
