Dear Skalleagues,

It is with great sadness that we announce to SKAL members and friends the passing of member Peter Bishop.

Peter passed away on May 14th at the age of 92.

Peter was in the travel industry here for many, many years and was the owner of Eastside Travel.

He joined Seattle SKAL in 1977 and served as Seattle club President in 1990.

He was an avid supporter of the Seattle club. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

At this time, we have no information on a memorial or other arrangements but will pass it on if we learn more.

~We will have a SKAL toast in Peter’s memory at our next gathering.

Passport works, too!

Passing on this *real* important reminder from the TSA!

Starting May 7, your driver’s license or state ID must be a REAL ID to fly within the U.S. If you won't have one by that date, you can bring your passport or another acceptable form of ID instead. Just remember – without identification that’s REAL ID compliant, you may get delayed at screening or possibly won’t be permitted through TSA’s security checkpoint, so plan ahead.
