🌧️ Maine has seen plenty of rain this year, but that didn’t stop Captain Zack from making his and Monhegan’s first dock of the season look effortless.

🛥️ Our captains aren’t fazed by a little rain, and this smooth docking is proof. Most people have a hard time docking boats with bow thrusters, joysticks, etc, but our vintage boats take a lot more skill.

🛥️ All are welcome onboard our vintage vessels- especially dogs! We love having furry friends join the charter and we think boat dogs are the best dogs.

🐶 If you do bring your four legged friends please be sure they are potty trained and won’t jump off the boat at the sight of our first duck.

🌈 When Maine gives you rain, wait for the rainbow 🌈

☀️ We can’t change the weather but we can change the boat. Monhegan has a canopy with sides that completely roll down and zip up- keeping you dry in the storm.

☔️ When rain pops up, we roll em down. That goes for wind too! Sometimes guests prefer not to feel the wind in their hair, and that’s ok! We can easily roll the sides up and down to fit your comfort level throughout the charter.

🛥️ If you’re wondering what to do when you visit Portland, we are a great choice rain or shine. So don’t worry if cloudy skies are in the forecast, we’re prepared to show you around no matter the weather.

⚒️The finishing touches lie in the small details⚒️

🛥️ The finishing touches on the boat takes days to complete because of the attention to detail we give. Everything gets a once (or twice) over so every part of the boat shines. The guys have been hard at work painting, scrubbing, and sanding and it shows.

🥂 We want to give you the best experience and the best looking one too. Every day we get closer to our first charter of the season and we can’t wait to have you onboard.

👨🏻‍🔧 The guys are hard at work giving Monhegan her yearly tune up. Apart from a fresh paint job (and lots of sanding), the boats also undergo mechanical maintenance.

🛥️ To access below deck all the charter gear gets taken off the boat. With her table and benches removed the deck looks more like the old lobster boat she used to be. The view from below shows off her sturdy hull and beautiful shape.
