The Portland Fire Engine Co. is excited to announce that we are opening for business and will be offering tours of Portland Maine starting this weekend!
We are committed to the health of our team, our communities, and our guests and have outlined the precautions we are taking to keep everyone safe below.
Safety is our top priority! We feel it's time to get up and out and about and stretch our legs using the guidelines set out by the State of Maine Reopening Plan. Our Fire Engine is completely open-aired and has a Bimini top for sun protection thus offering a very safe way to see the City of Portland from a great viewing platform.
There will be zero personal contact between our guests and our staff on all tours. Our Guide will be seated at least 6 feet from our guests at all times and our driver rides alone in the separate truck cab.
We will start on a limited basis and will ONLY be offering Private Charter Tours to groups of 6 or less. All passengers must be a Maine, New Hampshire, or Vermont resident. If you are arriving from any other state you must have completed the 14 day quarantine period. All groups must have been quarantined together or tested negative for the Covid-19 virus.
All bookings are made and purchased through our website at www.portlandfiretours.com. We have a 48-hour cancellation policy.
Guests should provide their own face coverings, water bottles, sunscreen, and rain gear.
The State of Maine has adopted a staged approach, supported by science, public health expertise, and industry collaboration, to allow Maine businesses to safely open when the time is right. The plan is available at www.maine.gov/covid19/restartingmaine. The Fire Engine is thoroughly disinfected between each tour as defined on the attached Maine Covid-19 Prevention Guidelines for Outdoor Activities Page and the CDC.
We hope you join us for a safe and unique tour of Portland Maine!
We are located at 180 Commercial St. right in front of Portland Lobster Co. Restaurant.
