Hi, ! It's the first day of June — and there's a lot to cover. From Texas's official statewide Free Fishing Day this Saturday to The Droptines hitting Fifth & Elm on Friday to a Fleetwood Mac tribute closing out Saturday night, Portland is packed this week! Here's everything happening June 1–7:

🎮 Mario Kart Mondays Tournament at 6 p.m.; Fifth & Elm — race on the big screen, win prizes, and your $25 entry includes pizza and a fountain drink. Ages 8 and up. Check in by 6:30 p.m.
☀️ Summer Kidz Kamp kicks off today; T.M. Clark Elementary, Mon–Fri 7 a.m.–6 p.m. — eight weeks of games, sports, swimming, science, and field trips for kids ages 5–12. Contact Portland Texas Parks and Recreation Department to enroll.
🏃 GP Nutrition Run Club at 6:30 p.m.; 504 Moore Ave — all ages welcome. No charge to run!
🚴 Slow Spokes Bike Crew ride along at 7:30 p.m.; meet at 509 Houston Street across from Fifth & Elm — dust off your wheels and roll with the crew. Come for the cruise, stay for the social. Ride at your own risk.

⚽ Rec Crew at Palm Bluff at 4:30 p.m. — Portland Texas Parks and Recreation Department hits the streets with games, crafts, and fun for school-age kids. Free.

🎣 Texas Free Fishing Day! No fishing license required on any public waterway in Texas. Indian Point Pier is open 24/7. Chris Andrews Boat Launch is free and open to the public.
🏊 Little Tykes Swim from 10 a.m.–noon; Portland Aquatic Center — special swim time for children 6 and under with a parent or guardian. $5, children under 2 free.
📷 Mesa Light Studio Grand Opening from 11 a.m.–9 p.m.; 315 5th Street — Portland's newest photography studio opens its doors! Come say hello.
🎵 Dreams: A Tribute to Fleetwood Mac at Fifth & Elm — from Go Your Own Way to Landslide, a free night of pure nostalgia under the stars. Doors at 7 p.m., show at 8 p.m. Reserved tables at FifthandElm.com.
