The bed of 'The Silver Forest' EcoVan is custom engineered to to retract by 1/3 to provide 200% more counter space.

Simply pull the head of the mattress back by 1/3, unlatch the footboard, and slide the frame back and relatch. Now you have a lofted couch with BUG views out the back doors over the handmade walnut and cherry headboard!

When it's time for bed, simply unlatch and slide forward to relatch and the mattress will automatically fold flat again. And, because it's 100% fair trade organic latex, it will never wear out or crease.

Don't worry though, even with the bed fully extended, the sink is fully functional and the solid wood footboard keeps splashes away from the sheets. There's also your swiveling Lagun table up front so there's plenty of space for the earlier riser to make coffee while their partner sleeps. ☕️☕️

EcoVan.org presents 🌲'The Silver Forest'🌲an eco-friendly custom camper van built on a 2019 Mercedes Sprinter 2500 144wb 4x4 high roof van.

This new build includes a professionally designed, fully heated, 5,120wh Battleborn and Victron 3-way electrical system. A kitchen with a custom-integrated dometic fridge/freezer, deep sink, and stowable butane or induction cooktops. Impressively, the builder has also included a smell-proof disappearing toilet and an outdoor showering option. There’s a massive eco-friendly queen bed that folds into a couch during the day and exposes additional countertop space. Along the edges of the bed there is ample soft storage for laptops, phones, and books above a highly functional garage capable of holding all your favorite outdoor gear. The interior of The Silver Forest boasts EcoVan.org’s ultra-premium plant based 3-mode insulation, fully serviceable walls and cabinets, premium diesel heater, modular shelving, and reclaimed solid cherry counters with walnut accents.

"The Tradesman" is looking awesome with its new "shoes" and "backpack."

Outpost AT eco-conscious off road tires on .van.engineering Talon wheels. This is the ULTRA durable and very capable premium tire and wheel combo we recommend for all sprinters at EcoVan.org!

Today we finally installed the ladder/tire carrier as well!

EcoVan-2 (The Tradesman) Sprinter is on one of its final shake-down runs before being listed for sale later this spring!

This weekend we're adding on an .offroad rear tire/ladder rack to compliment the new Owl wheels with ecofriendly 's new Outpost AT tires!!

This ultra-premium build also includes 400ah of heated Battleborn batteries and a full sweet of charge and battery managers.

Additionally, The Tradesman is set up for 4-season comfort with an Espar heater and EcoVan's own proprietary 3-stage VEGAN EcoInsulation.

The information on this website was initially collected through the process of building the world’s most eco-friendly adventure van: The Vitruvian Van. Through the process of crafting the Vitruvian Van, builder Christopher Ives poured over the internet, spoke with government scientists, did experiments in the garage, spoke with industry experts, and carefully pieced together a collection of resources for building an Eco Van. The resources and insight he collected are now available on EcoVan.org, free for you and the world.
