It’s a beautiful day on the GAP and in Ohiopyle, PA — after a gorge-ous (sorry!) 18 mile ride from historic Connellsville, we explored this cool riverside town and grabbed lunch, then headed for a guided tour of Fallingwater, the nearby Frank Lloyd Wright-designed masterpiece. Then another scenic 10 mile pedal into Confluence to our B&B accommodations and dinner.

We’ve got a terrific group and are off to a great start on our first tour of the year on the beautiful Great Allegheny Passage, a 150 mile continuous Rail-Trail linking Pittsburgh with Cumberland MD, following the routes of the old Western Maryland Railway and Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐩!! Ocean State Beaches & Breezes – our very popular summer bike tour of Rhode Island – definitely delivered this year. We had a terrific group of riders 50+, enjoyed delicious seafood, and made the most of those ocean breezes and water views as we cycled the coastline.

From Newport Harbor out to Block Island, we saw all the sights and made some great memories.

We enjoyed…
〰 lunch at a vineyard
〰 exploring lighthouses, historic mills, and forts
〰 ocean swims
〰 near-constant water views

and of course a stop for ice cream... it was a blast!

We’re basking in the glow of yesterday’s completion of two simultaneous and hugely successful tours, both first time ever and exclusive to Senior Cycling: Washington DC Hub and Uncommon Florida. A thousand thanks to my DC partner Eddie Boland and to super couple Jim Alves and Yvonne Gstieger, who planned and led the Uncommon Florida tour.
