Nature doesn’t have to be found—it’s already here 🌲📸

From the banks of the Portsmouth, Ohio, United States to the forests of Scioto County, Ohio, United States, every corner is a photo waiting to happen.

Golden light on the Ohio River. Mist in the trees at Shawnee State Park. Quiet roads, wild spaces, and endless views.

Red, white, and blue—and a whole lot of hometown pride 🇺🇸

Today we’re celebrating the American Flag: the one thing that can instantly make a parade feel official, a porch feel patriotic, and a community feel a little more connected. Whether it’s waving over downtown Portsmouth or catching a breeze along the river, it’s a timeless reminder of unity, freedom, and shared tradition.

We are proud to celebrate the places, stories, and people that make Scioto County shine—stars, stripes, and all—as we look ahead to the excitement of America250, honoring 250 years of the United States in 2026.

Fun fact to drop at your next cookout: some American flags have been made just up the road in Coshocton. That’s right—your fireworks “oohs and ahhs” might just come with a little Ohio craftsmanship stitched in.

Here’s to the flag—and to celebrating America250 with pride, joy, and just the right amount of red, white, and blue flair.
