Our hearts are heavy today for all of the first responders affected by the tragedies over the weekend. Today, we witnessed a community come together to show love and respect to the first responders who protect and serve us everyday, even through their own grief. Today, our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of two brave firefighters — one from the Coeur d’Alene Fire Department and one from Kootenai County Fire & Rescue — who were tragically killed while answering the call of duty.

These heroes made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our community, and we stand in deep gratitude for their courage, commitment, and selflessness.

The Post Falls Chamber of Commerce extends our deepest condolences to their families, friends, and fellow first responders. We grieve with you and honor their memory.

If you want to help, please visit the Red & Blue Foundation Page for updates on ways to help. From what we understand a bank account is being set up at First Interstate Bank and you can go into any branch and make a donation under the account name "Canfield Incident".

Through both the Foundation and the bank account, 100./. of the money will go directly to help those affected.
