Looking for the best time to tackle one of North Idaho’s most iconic hikes? ⛰️🥾 Secreat's out - IT'S NOW!!!!

Scotchman Peak is worth every step. This challenging 8.7-mile out-and-back trail near Clark Fork rewards hikers with sweeping views, mountain goats, and some of the most spectacular scenery in the region.

This trail is popular for hiking, birding, and camping, so plan to start early and pack plenty of water. And don’t forget: you’ll be hiking in grizzly bear habitat, so carry bear spray and know how to use it.
