Hello everyone !
I’m sure everyone’s noticed I haven’t been posting much lately and I’ve been asked why . I figure it’s time to share some news and announcements .
I’ve been guiding full time on lake Texoma since 2000 . That’s 26 years as a full time guide . 2 am mornings catching bait , through the good years and bad . Through the floods and fish/shad kills .
Over the last 26 years I can’t count the number of great people I’ve met and many have become personal friends outside of fishing .
It’s time for me to ride off into the sunset 🙂
As of July 1, I am officially retiring from guiding on Texoma . I’ve got only a few more trips booked between now and July 1 .
With all the ups and downs it’s been a good run. I want to thank each and every customer who has fished with me over the last 26 years and allowed me to make a living doing what I loved !
I am honored and thankful you have trusted me with your fishing outings !
I will be putting my boat up for sale soon and it’s time for me to move onto the next chapter in my life !
I will be moving into a new position as head cowboy and senior VP at White Rose Ranch.
As many of y'all know Georgia and I own White Rose Ranch and have a wedding and event venue on the property. So my new position as “maintenance man “ for the venue and head cowboy at the ranch and with a combined 14 grandkids, that will be taking up all my time !!!
Oh and as it turns out after buying some new hay baling equipment last year I’ll be continuing with a small hay baling business in my spare time .
So other than going out and baling hay for others in the area I have just about attained my adult goal of being able to make a living without having to leave my ranch 🙂 and just in case you think I’ll still have time on my hands we are also about a week or two away from expanding our cattle herd.
Once again thank you all for your loyalty over the last 26 years . It’s been an honor !!!
