Well… this trip hasn’t exactly started the way we anticipated. 😅✈️
We’re flying British Airways business class, and right now I’m extra thankful for it because we’ve officially been sitting on the runway for 1.5 hours with no idea how much longer we’ll be here. 🫠
Apparently, there are 4 “roads” we have to cross in the air, and we can’t just go around the storm that’s currently over New York. Who knew?! ⛈️✈️
The crazy part? My mom was also flying out of Philly tonight. Her flight left just 45 minutes before ours and had ZERO delays. Apparently those 45 minutes made all the difference. 😂
On the bright side, the trip started off great! Since we’re flying business, we had access to both the British Airways and American Airlines lounges in Philly, and our seats turn into completely lie-flat beds. I already can’t imagine doing this long of a flight any other way — and after sitting on the runway this long, I’m even more grateful for them. 😂
Now we just need to actually get in the air…
