Starting at noon, pets and their people will make their way around Parkway for an afternoon of community fun. 🐾 🇺🇸

90 years ago today: August 12, 1936. Antonia Palles and the Coney Island advertised in the Pottsville Republican:

"Coney Island Hot Weiners — With Real Chili Sauce — Established 1917." To our knowledge, the earliest known documented advertisement pairing Coney dogs with chili. It predates the 1940 examples often cited as early benchmarks.

It’s time to get outside and explore some woods and waterways! In this episode, we’re making a splash with Explore Schuylkill member Whitewater Rafting Adventures, enjoying the scenery at Sweet Arrow Lake County Park, exploring our state parks, and taking in the incredible views from Hawk Mountain Sanctuary Association

We’ll also check out Yuengling’s Field & Stream outdoor clothing line.

And before winter comes knocking, we’re going to do a little sautéing in the sun. Meaning we are soaking up every last bit of summer and enjoying the great outdoors while we can.

Plus, we’ll make a stop at Heisler's Dairy Bar to check out all the new things they’ve added. From water to woods, wildlife to outdoor adventures, there’s always something new to explore in Schuylkill County.
