🏆 The Results Are In! 🏆
A HUGE congratulations to our incredible 4th graders for raising the most money for our Box Tops fundraiser this school year! 🎉 To celebrate their (families) hard work, they got to take a special trip to the treasure box! 🎁✨

We honestly cannot say thank you enough to all the amazing friends and families who took the time to scan their receipts. Seriously, every single cent mattered and made a difference for our school!
☀️The fun doesn’t stop just because school is letting out☀️
Box Tops is a year round fundraiser. We would love to see how much we can raise starting right now, all through the summer, and into the next school year!
Please keep scanning those grocery receipts over the summer break. Let’s see if we can top this year's total! 📈💪

Today our PTO treated the incredible Powhatan Elementary teachers and staff to smoothies from Rama’s Café food truck, and it was a hit!

Thank you for an unforgettable year and for allowing us to say “thank you” for the heart, energy, and love they bring to our students every single day 🥤🍎✏️

Every receipt you scan in the Box Tops app helps Powhatan Elementary PTO earn money and helps your child’s grade level climb the leaderboard. The grade with the highest earnings before the end of this school year will receive fun student prizes — so keep those scans coming! 🎉

🧡🧡🧡Celebrating Our Final Day of Teacher Appreciation Week! 🍩🍝🌷
What a JAM PACKED day to wrap up an incredible week! We hope our amazing teachers and staff felt every bit of the love and appreciation they deserve.

A Sweet Start: We kicked things off with a massive assortment of delicious donuts from Sugar Shack. With so many unique flavors to choose from, it was the perfect morning treat! A huge thank you to Sugar Shack for their generous donation.

The Main Event: Lunch was a spectacular pasta bar spread, complete with fresh salad and breadsticks. This wonderful meal was provided by our local C&F Bank (Powhatan Branch). A special shout out to Eric and Kelly for delivering and setting everything up so perfectly for us!

Final Flourish: To end the day, the PTO hosted a Flower Bar. Teachers were able to pick from a beautiful variety of florals to create their own custom bouquets to take home and admire.

We also want to take a moment to thank the incredible individuals who made this entire week possible. Whether it was an early morning setup, a midday restock, a late afternoon teardown, or hours spent creating banners and decor. Your hard work did not go unnoticed.
Even if the task felt small, it was huge to us. This level of support is exactly how we are able to pull off weeks like this! A very special thank you to:

🧡🧡🧡The fourth day of Teacher Appreciation Week looked pretty SWEET! 🍭✨
Our amazing staff got to devour some seriously delicious freeze-dried candy! It was the perfect mid week pick me up that’s for sure!

A huge, special shout out to How Sweet for making this happen! Not only was the candy incredible, but she went above and beyond by:
• Custom designing the stickers for every canister.
• Creating a super creative way to disperse the treats.
Thank you, How Sweet, for your generosity and talent!

And to our teachers, we hope you enjoyed every crunchy, sweet bite. You deserve it!!!🖤🖤🖤

💛 School Nurse Appreciation Day 💛

On School Nurse Appreciation Day, we celebrated our amazing school nurse, Mrs. Sloan. She takes such thoughtful care of our students each and every day. From bumps and bruises to big feelings and everything in between, she’s there with patience, kindness, and a steady calm that helps our kids feel safe and supported.

Thank you, Mrs. Sloan, for all you do for our students, families, and staff. Your care makes a difference in more ways than we can count, and we are so grateful to have you at Powhatan Elementary! Let's show her some love 🧡🖤

🧡🧡🧡We are officially halfway through our week of celebration, and while there are only two days left in Teacher Appreciation Week, our gratitude for this incredible staff lasts all year long!!!
Our teachers truly are the core of everything we do!

To celebrate today, we hosted an Apple Bar! Teachers enjoyed slicing up fresh apples and loading them with all their favorite delicious toppings. To wash it all down, we served up some refreshing, ice cold lemonade.

As a special keepsake, each teacher also received a keychain that reads "Teacher to the Core." It’s just a small reminder of the huge impact they have on our students every single day.
