Took amazing sunset on the mountain photos today. It's mid Jan. and it was 46 degrees, soooo unusual.

Fall is here, we had our first snow yesterday, but it didn't get down to freezing. Emigrant Peak has snow now but nothing stuck here. Got my hot tub cleaned and ready for a dip, what a treat to get in it last night. Last week a young black bear severely damaged my 2 apple trees that were loaded. The damage was so extensive that I don't know if the front yard tree will make it. I picked about 40 lbs of apples and left a bunch on the ground for the bear. The deer haven't come back yet, they are going around the area where the bear left piles of "apple s**t". Last B&B guests left yesterday, now it's down time for me. Come visit sometime, won't you. V

Baby deer are so much fun to watch running back and forth in the front yard. I didn't know they make a baaaaa sound, thought that was odd.
Saw and heard a hawk in the trees twice this week, when it flew into the air 2 small birds chased it and 1 actually rode on it's neck for little ways. It must have been bothering the small birds nest. Mother nature is full of surprises. Wish you could all see her beauty here, it's spectacular. V

On my way home today, I saw a huge bald eagle on the ground not far from home. It wasn't doing anything. I spotted it's white head first, then as I drove past the rest of it's body, usually they are doing "something". We have a bluebird pair in the front yard, and hummingbirds again. Not many last year. Glad they are back. V
