My two builds for the Orange County Chopper Invitational bike show left for Florida today. I will be flying into Clearwater Fl. Thursday morning. Friday is load in day; I'll be inside with all the invited professional builders. Show is Saturday-Sunday. Awards for my division is Sunday afternoon. Live music throughout the event. my crew and I are looking to have a great time. I'll post more when I'm there

As some know I was invited as a professional builder to Orange County Choppers invitational bike show in Clearwater Florida May 15-17, 2026. I will be competing against other builders from around the world. Completed the build and will be shipping it off to Florida in 4 weeks along with the Captain American build to bike show. There is no hand levers or foot controls. Automatic footpegs become kickstand or can raise front wheel several inches off the ground for a cool show and look. Pictures don't do the candy paint justice.

Finish Triumph 400 scrambler install of Texas sidecar enduro car. Bike is kind of small for a sidecar but rode really well. Customer asked me to paint a strip and Triumph logo on the front panel to match the one on the gas tank. Pretty cool rig

O C C bike show Chopper build update
Couple of pictures so you can see what direction I'm going. Check out the tattoos on the ladies.
Camera doesn't pick up the gold metal flake in the candy root beer paint very well. Need to color sand and spray 3 more coats of clear. Then it's time to cut & buff for that glass finish

update pics for the O.C.C. invitational bike show build. first primer everything and sand. lay down silver base coat (looks the same in pictures) Next lay down gold metal .004 flakes until 100% covered (my shop looks like a dozen st*****rs were there for a bachelor party, gold glitter everywhere). next step is lay down 3-4 light coats of candy root beer (candy need to lay in light layers). The picture of the engine cover gives you an idea of where I'm going with this build.

Update on custom build for OCC invitational builders bike show 5/15/26.
All parts needing paint are molded and primed. Frame is completely molded and primed. Next step is to shoot some test panels, necessary when dealing with candy color paint. Getting the right base color and metallics make a huge difference with candies. I will be layering two or more candy colors.
