Its always sad to release information to our community about tragic incidents that could be avoided. This is the second drowning this weekend on our county waterways involving recreation. We urge everyone to use proper safety equipment when enjoying our beautiful lakes and rivers.

This Wednesday the Six-Week Outdoor Market kicks off July 16 with Royale bringing a high-energy, multi-genre sound to Landings Park!

Grab a High Country cider & stroll through 40+ vendor booths featuring handmade and homegrown goods. Grab dinner from a local food truck, and settle in for a fun-filled evening with live music under the North Idaho sky. 🌅

🌸 Education Tuesday: Understanding Emotional Abuse

One of the deepest wounds a woman can experience is when she tries to talk with her partner about something that hurts her – not to attack him, but to share her pain and seek understanding – and instead of listening, he gets angry and turns it back on her.

💔 She speaks up because she cares, hoping he will hear the weight she carries every day. But instead of leaning in, he raises his defenses. Instead of acknowledging her feelings, he deflects, blames, mocks, or twists her words into attacks on her character, her tone, or her timing.

✨ What started as an honest plea for change becomes a painful moment where her pain is buried under his anger. She is left feeling unheard, silenced, and alone.

Over time, she may start questioning herself:
“Am I too sensitive?”
“Should I just let it go?”
“Is it really a big deal?”

But deep down, she knows. Respect, empathy, and love do not feel like this.

❤️ Remember: When a woman shares how something hurts her, it is a gift – a chance for connection and healing. When that moment is met with anger or blame, it becomes a silent wound, pushing her further away emotionally and spiritually.

Because peace without understanding isn’t peace – it’s silence.
