As I’ve said before, publicly, I believe in the depths of my soul the collective “we” can and must do better….these systems and programs are NOT sustainable….they aren’t. I’ve also said many times, and before the FRAUD culture was publicly revealed that this state does not have a money 💰Issue….its a spending, compliance, accountability and corruption issue….
This should be a bi partisan issue, everybody should be….lets say very very upset….this much money has been stolen 💸 AND not used for intended purposes…..documents were altered by DHS, not political but facts, bonuses and awards to the tune of millions were given to DHS employees over these programs AND yet people still have their jobs ….cmon people 🤷♂️! I don’t care if you are deep blue or red red you know you don’t like it….and yet I’ve been told by some to “come on already, enough with the fraud…” HUH?
This has to be remedied.
Don’t kid yourself, there are a ton of unfunded mandates that were born in St. Paul AND there are federal issues too.
The collective “we” must be better stewards with what He has given AND give us control at the county level to do what works best for our folks…untie our hands ⛓️💥
I’ll see you tomorrow St Paul 🫵
Scott County Commissioners write: “The Legislature must fund what it mandates” -- The Minnesota Legislature has less than a week to take action to ensure property taxpayers in Scott County and across the state aren’t on the hook for federal cost shifts, unfunded mandates, and outdated IT systems. Scott County property taxpayers did not create these issues. They should not have to fund them. If the Legislature walks away without addressing three key priorities, property taxpayers will foot the bill.
