Usually don’t post daily reports but we had to run a good one down today!!! Solid 32” fish in the 15-16 # range. Had to chase her down to get some line back on the reel! 🤣🤣

Fish are still in the ditches! Bigger fish still eating freelines over the downrods for me. Hearing some downrod fish are starting up though.

Hands look like they been through a meat grinder, bait tank needs the pink algae washed out, trolling motor needs taken apart, wash down switch is stuck. 🤣🤣 all just part of day! It doesn’t stop once the boat is on the trailer!!! I love every minute of it!!!

Got 2 days available in July (4th and 18th). Some of Aug is booked but still have plenty of space as of right now.

Some of the regulars have started picking those prime fall/winter dates. Probably want to start thinking about that. Nothing worse than the family coming in and you can’t get a spot.

We get so much line twist on these spinning rods from people reeling against the drag. This is a quick way to get rid of it without having to change the line out.

I typically stay out of the turbos but a few do come around time to time. This is a great way to prepare these fish as they don’t have much red meat in them at all.

You can fry whole or fill them with crabmeat or veggies and bake or grill!!

I will be doing a presentation on this style of fishing NEXT year (probably in May) for the Midlands Striper Club. I know that’s a long ways away but it will be a good one to be at.
