There is a new rookie gondolier training in Providence! This is Ezio, on the water for the first time, and he is doing a terrific job - hopefully you all will see him in stripes and rowing trips very soon! Ciao, Marcello

In this WROW update, we bring you some absolutely devastating news, that the incomparable Marcìa has decided to call it a career. She finished her degree a few weeks ago, and her soon-to-be husband just finished his Master’s as well, and they are moving far, far away. You heard it here first - I will be inconsolable come Wednesday when she leaves for good. Buon viaggi, Marcìa, you will certainly be missed here!

So there’s a little story behind this post: I am really not much of a drinker, but I always LOVED the theme song. Additionally I was a kid growing up in the 80s and 90s, and particularly loved Where In the World Is Carmen Sandiego? So when recorded this commercial I was just in awe.

Anyway, I actually had a cup of coffee yesterday, and whenever I do, I have this song in my head - if I ever start drinking coffee more frequently, I think it’s going to have to be Folgers just because of this jingle!

Aaaannnnnnnnndddddddd I’ve had a cold - apologies for the penultimate high note, just didn’t want to re-record it. I’m ok being imperfect 😁🤷🏻‍♂️🙏🏻

It was a pretty breezy day in Providence today, but this team powered through it - bravo to Figaro, Tommaso, Giovanni Pierluigi, Ferruccio, and Patrizio (especially for being willing to do this “interview”), as well as the dock tandem of Viviana and Ginevra. Pat and I had a little fun here ahead of the start … and we powered through that breeze!

We were very happily surprised to see us featured on a very patriotic gondola trip on ‘s holiday weekend forecast update. Ferruccio looks pretty fantastic on the small screen!

It is Opening Day for gondolas in Providence! Tomorrow is our first day of trips, and Figaro (singing) and I launched boat 1 tonight. Gondola 2 goes in tomorrow morning and we are off and running, well, rowing!
