When hunting ends for the northern states in summer, if you love to hunt and like the taste of fresh wild pork from Mother Nature, they're is an option to consider. We headed south to Alabama for my first ever Hog Hunt. We enjoyed a guided trip to the surprising hardwood wilds of south central Alabama to an area known as the Alabama Black Belt. A beautiful, wild, natural area filled with whitetail deer and wild boar, and warm-hearted people.

One morning, I walked outside and looked around for McChick but did not see or hear her. Suddenly, I saw movement at the corner of the house and walked over to see what it was. The hawk had McChick pinned to the ground. I kicked the hawk hard to get it off. I was too late. McChick was gone. I picked up McChick and smoothed her feathers.
