The Indian culture such as the great warrior, Crazy Horse, believed in lying their deceased on scaffolds, wrapping them in buffalo blankets. There to be exposed to the elements and delivered over a year or two back to nature. Then to come back as buffalo grass, and eaten by the buffalos, which would be eaten by the Sioux, thus completing the cycle. Versus the Anglo belief of burial in a metal casket preventing breakdowns over a longer time. I got this from Stephen Ambrose book of Custer and Crazy Horse.

“I am poor and naked, but I am the chief of the nation. We do not want riches but we do want to train our children right. Riches would do us no good. We could not take them with us to the other world. We do not want riches. We want peace and love.”

– Red Cloud, Chief of the Oglala Lakota tribe.

"𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐣𝐨 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐞 (𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐢𝐧𝐞, 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 ""𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞"") is one of the largest Native American tribes in the United States, with approximately 300,000 members and a vast territory of around 71,000 square kilometers located across the states of Arizona, Utah, and New Mexico.

Traditionally, the Navajo people were hunters, gardeners, and livestock herders, raising animals such as cattle, sheep, and horses. They have a rich and diverse culture, including religious festivals and ceremonies such as ""hozho,"" ""kinaalda,"" and ""Yeibichai."" These ceremonies often involve honoring deities and performing rituals to pray for health, peace, and prosperity.

The Navajo language is the tribe's official language, one of the largest and most widely spoken Native American languages in the United States. The Navajo language is used in daily life and is also used in the tribe's religious and cultural ceremonies.

The Navajo people are also known for their art, including high-quality oil paintings and unique Navajo textiles made by hand with bold colors and distinctive patterns.

Navajo Nation is also one of the fastest-growing tribes in the United States, with many educational and economic programs being implemented to promote the tribe's economic and community development. The tribe's economic activities include livestock raising, agriculture, mineral extraction, tourism, and other industries.

Nowadays, the Navajo tribe still maintains and preserves its traditional cultural heritage, while striving to build a bright future for their community."

It was summer of 1912, the Olympics in Sweden. Jim Thorpe, a Native American from the Sac and Fox tribe, was representing the U.S. in four events, including the decathlon, which would determine the greatest athlete in the world.

The decathlon took place over three days. On the morning of day two, when Jim went to gather his track shoes for competition, they were missing.

Without a store to purchase a new pair from, he and his track coach went scouring trash bins looking for a discarded pair. His coach found a right shoe and a left one. They were different styles, different sizes. One shoe fit fine. The other was too big. But given time constraints this was his best option. So on the foot with the big shoe, Jim put on two pairs of socks.

Wearing these track shoes, Jim came in first place. And he didn't just win, he dominated, wining by a margin of about 700 points.

Jim returned home to a ticker tape parade down Broadway in NY. His name was in the papers, the pride of nation. He was the greatest athlete in the world.
